The Boater Education Learning and Resource Center provides training on sail, power, and trailer boats. Classroom, on the water, and insurance checkout instruction are taught by U.S.C.G. licenced and insured captains. Our programs allow the public affordable and flexible options to begin or continue their nautical education. Our slogan is, "Where safety is our standard," and our goal is to give boat handlers the skills and confidence to operate all types of boats safely and properly.

Local Knowledge Clinics
Ever wonder what lurks beneath the waters of San Diego’s bays? Or where the currents are best (or worst) and the best ways to avoid disaster and improve your local sailing skills? That’s exactly what our local knowledge clinics are all about!
These 3-hour clinics will cover all the ins and outs of local knowledge, from our docks all the way to the ocean! There will be plenty of chart reading to spot unusual features, and we will follow up with a power boat tour of the waterways, where you can get a look at these features up close!
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This clinic is intended for all sailors who want to learn the specifics of our local waterways.
