Power Classes
Seaforth Boater Education offers power boating classes and lessons for boaters beginner to advanced. If you are just starting out, we offer Power Boating Basics to learn the fundamentals of operating vessels. If you have been boating for a while and are interested in getting more out of your boating, take a look at our advanced courses, where you can learn to master your technique. Basic Power Boat Fundamentals
Students will learn in this 2 day course to safely operate a small power boat and improve their boat handling skills. This class is approved by the USCG & the National Association of the State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). This class is taught on an 18 ft powerboat and includes maneuvering, crew coordination, outboard motors, basic boat handling concepts, VHF, navigation, & environment information.
Prerequisites: None.

Advanced Power Boat Fundamentals
In this two day course students will learn how to safely larger motor boat and improve their boat handling skills. This class is approved by the USCG and NASBLA. This class is taught on or up to a 26 ft powerboat and includes inboard engine systems, advanced boat handling, on-board systems, weather, launching, and trailering.
Prerequisites: Basic Power Boat Fundamentals course or equivalent experience.
This class is typically held Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm.

Twin Screw Fundamentals
This is a two day course and includes handling heavier, more powerful complex yachts. The class is taught on a twin screw vessel that includes maneuvering in confined quarters, open water, and with one engine. The class will cover the more complex systems found on larger boats.
Prerequisites: Basic and Advanced Power Boat Fundamentals course or equivalent experience. Books are not included and must be read prior to class.
This class is typically held Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm.
